Be a Hunger Hero – Host Your Own Food Drive!

Be a Hunger Hero – Host Your Own Food Drive!

For Individuals & Corporations

Step 1: Choose Your Dates & Location

  • Pick a start and end date (2–4 weeks is ideal).

  • Decide where donations will be collected (office lobby, break room, front porch, school hallway, etc.).

Step 2: Contact Keystone

  • Let us know you’re hosting a drive so we can share current pantry needs, answer questions, track your contributions and share on our social media.

Step 3: Set a Goal

  • Choose a goal that’s motivating—e.g., “500 pounds of food,” “Fill 10 boxes,” or “Beat last year’s total.”

  • For corporations, consider offering an incentive (casual dress day, free lunch, raffle prize) if the goal is met.

Step 4: Gather Supplies

  • Boxes or bins for collecting items.

  • Signs/flyers to post near collection areas (include list of most-needed items).

  • Optional: decorate bins to make them eye-catching.

Step 5: Promote Your Drive

  • Send an email or memo to staff/friends/family.

  • Post on social media with photos of your collection bin and a call to action.

  • Share Keystone’s mission and current food needs to inspire giving.

Step 6: Collect Donations

  • Encourage high-need items (e.g., peanut butter, canned proteins, pasta, rice, cereal, shelf-stable milk).

  • Remind participants midway through the drive to keep momentum going.

Step 7: Deliver to K.O.C.

  • Deliver them to Keystone Opportunity Center at104 N. Main Street, Souderton, PA, 18964

Step 8: Celebrate & Share the Impact

  • Thank everyone who participated.

  • Share photos of the final collection and let people know how many families they helped feed.

  • We’ll provide a thank-you letter and impact update so you can share with your team.
